MTL Document Services is the trading name of Micrographic Techniques Ltd (MTL), a leading document management services provider based in the North West of England. We have been providing totally secure, high quality image conversion services for public and private organisations since our incorporation in 1977.

MTL commenced trading as a microfilm services bureau, and the company expanded into the document scanning sector following a successful management takeover in 1998. Subsequently, the team have strengthened their position in the industry with the acquisition of three complementary document management companies, and strong organic growth.

Since July 2000, MTL has been an accredited Kodak Document Conversion Centre. Kodak appointed MTL as they recognised our high standard of quality and service, and were actively seeking strong partners to deliver to the market. Since this time, MTL has successfully undertaken scanning projects and installed equipment on their behalf.

As a result of continual growth, MTL relocated to 4500 square feet, purpose-built premises on Leigh Business Park in 2003. Since the relocation our scanning services have expanded to include colour, and large format drawings, as well as online document hosting and software solutions. We now have the capacity to store in excess of five million documents onsite, in a fully controlled and secure environment.
