Financial institution banks on MTL Document Services

In September, MTL Document Services was invited by a large high street Bank to offer expert consultancy and specify equipment for their microfilm scanning requirements. The Bank operates an in-house document management department, and their equipment for viewing microfilmed images had become obsolete.

After a comprehensive review of their operations, MTL recommended the purchase of four Kodak 2400 DSV microfilm scanners. After an evaluation of the scanner's capability, the Client placed an order for all four units. Within a week the equipment had been installed in the department, staff trained and deployed in full operational use.

Document scanning the Easy way

During September, MTL Document Scanning was contracted to scan finance documents for the largest privately owned electrical rental company in the UK. The Client had installed Easy Software, the second largest provider of SAP archiving solutions, in order to dramatically reduce the amount of paperwork in the office. However, the staff were simply unable to cope with the volumes of documents that required scanning, and consequently were not reaping the full benefits from Easyware.

The Client contacted MTL Document Services to ascertain if it was possible to scan the documents in a format that could be imported into Easyware. Our scanning operation has been deliberately set up to allow images to be integrated into most third party software solutions, such as Easyware, Axise, Agresso, SAP, Invu and Scanfile.

After a successful pilot exercise, we were awarded the contract to scan the documents on a monthly basis.
